Satire and Caricature

In the ninth programme from the series "Il-Politika fil-Letteratura," Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo and I discuss satire and caricature in politics.

Many believe that satire and caricature offer an opportunity to "laugh with knives." They expose the folly of the powerful, mock attitudes to power and may even laugh at ordinary people who confer authority to those in power. Satire and caricature raise one important question; is there anything which should not be tackled by satirists?
