The War Poets


In the thirteenth programme from the series "Il-Politika fil-Letteratura," Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo and I discuss poetry during the Great War (World War I)


The selected texts include the patriotic "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae (1915) and "The Soldier" by Rupert Brooke (1915) which contrast the two haunting poems my Wilfred Owen: "Dulce et Decorum Est" and "Anthem for Doomed Youth."


The poems are read by Ms Simone Chircop. The programme will be aired on Campus FM at the following dates/times:
