The Rule of Greed

When the rule of law fails, the rule of greed triumphs. My monthly piece for Il-Lehen (22.X.2017) builds on the arguments put forward by the Chief Justice at the start of the Forensic Year on the decline of the rule of law. I argue that our landscape reflects the values which prevail in our society. I quote reports by the Interdiocesan Commission for the Environment and the Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Malta which signal how greed is now impacting vulnerable citizens and eroding the common good.
