Dignified Silence

In my monthly piece (in Maltese) in yesterday's Il-Lehen (28.I.2018) I look at the dignity one finds in silence. We can draw inspiration from Cardinal Robert Sarah's latest book titled "The Power of Silence."

Silence does not equate to the culture of omerta which now prevails in our society. Moreover, to be silent does not imply complacency in the face of injustice. Rather, silence is an invitation to reflect on possible courses of action. Both society and the church need to avoid being consumed by a dictatorship of noise.
