Malta - Italy Relations

I gave the following comments to Yendrick Cioffi from Illum (27.V.2018) on what relations between Malta and Italy may be like now that there is a likely new coalition government between Lega Nord and the Movimento Cinque Stelle. I argue that Malta and Italy will continue to have good relations but that there might be two main bones of contention.

On matters concerning migration, some actions by the Italian government might be detrimental to Malta's interest while, when discussing the future of Europe, the two governments may have differing visions. It is unlikely that any of this will affect relations in the long-run.
