Gentlemen in Politics

In 2018, three great political figures died; the former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Lord Carrington; Senator John McCain and President George H.W. Bush.

In my last piece for 2018, I write my last obituary for Il-Lehen (23.XII.2018) - the obituary to the politics I have long believed in, or, moderate conservatism. I argue that politicians need to rediscover some principles found in Cardinal Newman's writings.
